Infocomm Club Award Submission: Learning Journey to Pulau Ubin

Apart from weekly meeting and training, the MGPS infocomm club enrich their knowledge about Singapore through a series of learning journeys organized specially for them. 

Earlier in January, we went to Images of Singapore to learn about the Singapore's Past. And now, as part of our mid-year activity, we went to Pulau Ubin. Check out what our club member, Fatima, has put together to reach out to those members who couldn't make it for this outing to the rustic Singapore.

What i have learnt at Infoccom Club

In Infocomm, l have learnt about how to create my own "book".i also learnt how to start up the mac computer .

What i have learnt in Infocomm club

I have learnt how to make my own 'book' on the computer with pictures that can be put on the 'paper'. i have learnt cool things like taking photos on the computer and doing things on a macintosh. all the things on the mac are so much more technological than a normal personal computer. i really like macintosh computers!!!:)

Ebook compeition

A gentle reminder, the deadline for the competition is 20 March 2008.
By now you should have your storyline. During the holidays, you can start to find pictures or you can draw either using paint or on paper. Get the pictures and paragraphs done during the holidays and when we meet up again when school reopens. You can start typing it on the software.

Talk from Channel news Aisa Volunteer

I really enjoyed the talk that the volunteer from Channel News Aisa gave. I learned a lot from it such as technical terms and filming tips. I'm really excited to take part in the competition! I'm also glad that I was elected as the 'relief' VP - I wasn't expecting it so I'm pretty happy. =P

Yesterday's Infocomm Club

I found our last infocomm club meeting, which was yesterday, to be very interesting because there was a different program for the P5's instead of learning about apple computers. I had lots of fun experimenting on E book and making stories using those 2-D characters. I can't wait until the competition!!!

Awww... I didn't get to go to Sentosa because I had yucky tuition! Hopefully the next time we have a field trip, I can get the chance to go....

Terrific Field Trip

I really enjoyed taking photos on our field trip. It was the first time my Dad had let me use his camera. I liked learning about the history of Singapore. The wax figures were very realistic. I also enjoyed meeting new friends. I can't wait for our next field trip!

What I thought about our field trip

I had a really great time at our field trip to "Images of Singapore". First of all, it was my first time to Sentosa and the museum was filled with loads of interesting stuff!! I loved the dioramas(they looked sooo real) and of course, taking pictures. My favourite part was when we got to wander outside before our bus came to take us back to school. We could watch the Carlsberg sky tower go up and down and take random pictures. It was especially fun seeing the P6ers playing around in the fountains! I can't wait until we can make a presentation out of the pictures we took. Thanks for bringing us on this fieldtrip, Mdm Sopianti!!!!!

GirLs, pLEase take note. If you bring your camera to schooL, pLEase pass it to me or your form teacher to pass it to me. Before that pLEase LAbeL your camera. This is for security purposes. However if you have Locker you may want to put inside your Locker.

Field Trip

Hi Girls! Take note of the things to do before our very first excursion.

• Submit reply slip in the box outside staff room.
• Don't forget to write your name in the reply slip.
• Bring water bottle and tissues/hand towels 
• Have heavy lunch before that. You may bring some titbits.
• DO NOT BRING YOUR SCHOOL BAG. Bring a smaller bag to put in all the stuff to bring to Sentosa.
• Note book (for any notes taking)
• Camera - Make sure it has strap long enough.

Welcome to InfoComm Club (Primary). It's great to see so many of you this year. I hope the number maintain throughout the year.

We will be using this blog to get to know each other better through our thoughts, feedbacks and reflections. Feel free to post anything pertaining to Infocomm. Any queries, doubts or suggestions post it here so everyone can read it and comment on it.
